His trip to Ukraine is to reaffirm the commitment of the U.S. to that nation’s self-defense.
U.S. National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan traveled to Ukraine on Wednesday. He met with President Volodymyr Zelensky and other senior Ukrainian officials regarding the war with Russia.
State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller said that Advisor Sullivan “underscored the multiple lines of U.S. support to Ukraine following yesterday’s successful Ukraine Defense Contact Group meeting, and he stressed the urgent need for the U.S. House of Representatives to pass the national security supplemental to meet Ukraine’s critical battlefield needs.“
He continued that the national security advisor “discussed ongoing efforts with allies and partners to hold Russia accountable for its aggression and mitigate the economic impacts of Russia’s war on Ukraine and around the world, and progress on anti-corruption and other key reforms needed to further Ukraine’s Euro-Atlantic integration.“
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan to receive discernment from the Lord as he advocates for military assistance for Ukraine.
- For Speaker Mike Johnson and legislators in the House as they consider additional aid for Ukraine’s defense.
